SUMMARY:

The Member Service Specialist is responsible for answering telephonic inquiries from current and potential members and providers regarding Medicare Advantage benefits, eligibility, enrollment, claims, referral, prior authorizations, appeals & grievances and other related concerns. Our Member Service Specialists ensure customer satisfaction by providing excellent customer service, displaying a desire to help and maintaining a professional demeanor. Member Service Specialists will be expected to maintain quality and performance standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Make 80–150+ outbound calls per day (depending on campaign and company targets).
  • Introduce the company’s services and collect data using provided scripts while adapting to customer responses.
  • Identify customer needs, answer questions, overcome objections, and build rapport.
  • Meet or exceed KPIs such as talk time, conversion rate, target hit daily.
  • Follow all compliance guidelines.
  • Participate in daily/weekly training and coaching sessions to improve performance.
  • Go above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Strong persuasion and objection-handling abilities.
  • Resilience and ability to handle rejection positively.
  • Basic computer skills, accurate typing (CRM navigation, data entry).
  • Clear, professional phone voice with good diction and tone.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends if needed.
  • Ability to build rapport with members
  • Bilingual in Vietnamese, Spanish, Korean, or Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin) required.

LANGUAGE:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups and customers or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
