Job Summary:

The Millwork Assembly Crew will assemble millwork products including doors and molding.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• •Follows detailed instructions to construct and build both stock and special order doors, including millwork trim for customers.
• •Gathers and arranges necessary parts for products together in specified relationship to each other as instructed.
• •Bolts, clips, screws, rivets, compounds, trims, saws, or otherwise fastens required parts together.
• •Works on an assembly line where tasks and job duties may vary as different product lines are produced.
• •Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• •Attends team meetings and company training sessions as required.
• •Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• •Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
• •Thorough understanding of, or ability to quickly learn production equipment.
• •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• •Understanding of, and ability to abide by, applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
• •The ability to adjust the controls of a machine or vehicle quickly and repeatedly to exact positions.
• •Must be available and willing to work such overtime per day or week as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet business needs.

Education/Experience

• •A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• •General carpentry and millwork knowledge preferred.
• •Successful completion of on-the-job training.

Physical Requirements

• •Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
• •Visual acuity is needed to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect products produced.
• •The ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods.
• •Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at times, occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds, and push and/or pull 50-pound loads at a time.
