Mold Polishing Technician

Summary

The Mold Polishing Technician is responsible for using hand held and power tools for a variety of different mediums; specifically, for polishing, sanding and supporting the manufacturing process by maintaining and preparing tooling or equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Mold Preparation:

• •Polish /prepare mold cavities and components
• •Inspect parts for quality per customer requirements
• •Wrap and package parts for shipping
• •Participate in inventory counts, as needed
• •Use computer to locate, enter and update information (Microsoft Excel)
• •Operate forklift and/or pallet jack to move parts
• •Other duties as assigned

Shop Duties:

• •Assist machinists with mold component production
• •Materials handling and preparation for machining operations using pallet jacks and fork lifts
• •Monitor and assist maintaining inventory of purchased mold components, hardware, and raw material
• •Ensure work assignments are carried out to the highest quality ensuring customer quality and company needs are met

Requirements

Qualifications

• •Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language
• •Working knowledge of basic hand tools and shop equipment
• •Ability to handle complaints and resolve issues using decision making and analytical abilities

Physical Work/Environment Requirements

• •Strong organizational skills, strong attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills and ability to professionally complete tasks
• •Willingness to learn and assist with the development of new techniques that will improve efficiency
• •Requires continuous sitting, standing and walking
