MRI Senior Rotational Radiographer

  • Full Time - 37.5 hours per week

Where you’ll be based

Rivers Hospital is part of Ramsay Health Care UK, one of the leading providers of NHS and private patients’ services in England. We are based on the Herts & Essex border, and we are easily accessible from London and the Home Counties. The hospital opened in 1992 and is equipped with the latest medical facilities for diagnosis and treatment and has very high quality clinical standards. We are passionate about quality of care throughout the hospital.

As a Specialist MRI + Rotational Radiographer, you will:

Have a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent).

A postgraduate qualification and/or high levels of technical knowledge (desirable).

Have more than 3 years' experience in MRI.

Be experienced in a wide variety MRI scans

Have an understanding and empathetic approach to patients and staff alike.

Be respectful towards all individuals, including staff, patients and visitors.

Have a proactive and forward thinking approach to work.

Ensure a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion.

Demonstrate excellent communication and team working abilities.

As well as highly skilled in MRI, you will also be experienced in another modality such as CT, and X-ray and have some experience with Siemans equipment.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload.

Be highly proficient in the use of all equipment within scope of practice.

Work with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment and facilities.

Take an active part to supervise and develop junior colleagues.

Responsible for MRI safety in line with local rules.

To work within IRMER and own scope of practice, in accordance with the code of conduct set out by the HCPC.

Participate in departmental audits and Quality Assurance programme.

Provide support to the Clinical Lead Radiographers.

Ensure equipment is safe and fit for purpose and, can report faults in line with Ramsay Health policy.

Competency in IV cannulation is essential.

Provide input to the review, update and implementation of departmental policy and procedural changes.

Comply with all Ramsay Health policies and procedures.

Ensure all records are maintained in line with statutory and organisational requirements.

Participation in General x-ray.

Participate in on call CT rota (must be able to attend site within one hour of call activation).
