Multi Drop Delivery Driver

This role is in support of Cencora's wholesale distribution services in Europe operating through our Alliance Healthcare business.

Department: Transport

Location: Bristol Service Centre

Reports To: Driver Team Manager

Hours of work: 48 hours Per Week (Monday – Saturday)

Salary: £15.30 per hour

Job Purpose:

To ensure the speedy, efficient and accurate delivery of assembled product and invoices to the customer within the corporate guidelines.

Key Accountabilities

• •To maintain a safe and competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.
• •To have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
• •To report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
• •To maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.
• •To ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work.
• •To maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
• •To check all orders shown on the dropsheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.
• •To collect goods returned for credit, mail, cheques or delivery bins and their safe return to the branch at all times.
• •To ensure Housekeeping standards are maintained.
• •Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for HazChems.
• •To maintain a smart appearance at all times.
• •To help maintain good customer relations.
• •To be involved in other duties as may be defined from time to time by the Management.
• •Meet all Health & Safety requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

Essential

• •A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven
• •For insurance purposes, all drivers must be over 21 years of age
• •Existing employees must update fleet services accordingly with any changes to their license status e.g. points on their license, driving bans etc
• •Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• •Excellent Customer care
• •Intermediate Numeracy and Literacy

Desirable

• •Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving is highly desirable
• •Route planning experience

MANUAL HANDLING

It should be noted that manual handling tasks such as lifting and bending are “essential requirements” of this role.
