Job Description

The National Leasing Consultant provides personalized guidance to prospective residents who need extra support during the leasing journey, complementing the initial engagement handled by Elise AI, assisting clients at various stages including helping them narrow home selections and re-engaging those who have paused or disengaged from the process while maintaining Tricon’s high standards for client care. The role supports Tricon’s National Sales Team operating across multiple regions, working collaboratively to support national leasing performance and occupancy goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel.

Client Engagement & Conversion

Provide personalized guidance to prospects at any stage of the leasing funnel — from home selection and tour scheduling through application submission

Re-engage prospects who have stalled or disengaged, using outbound outreach to recover leads and move them toward a submitted application; success is measured by re-engagement rates, lead recovery, conversions, hitting/exceeding goals and assisted prospect count

Help clients identify homes that align with their needs, preferences, and financial qualifications across Tricon markets

Drive conversion performance in line with team leasing and move-in targets

AI Partnership & Funnel Support

Collaborate with Elise AI to ensure seamless handoffs between automated and human engagement, with an early takeover rate goal of under 3%

Monitor AI-managed interactions and intervene when personal outreach would improve the client experience or increase conversion likelihood

Partner with the Applications Teams to resolve issues that delay leasing progression

Maintain a clear task queue, ensuring all prospect inquiries and follow-ups are addressed promptly and accurately; handoff task resolution speed and call QA scores are key measures of success in this area

Portfolio & Team Collaboration

Work collectively with National Sales Consultants to support leasing activity and occupancy goals across multiple markets and funds, with shared accountability for team move-in and leasing targets

Share insights on prospect behavior and engagement trends to inform sales strategy

Align with National Leasing leadership on portfolio performance objectives

Qualifications

Proven track record in leasing, real estate sales, or consultative sales with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed conversion targets

Natural relationship-builder who earns trust quickly, guides clients through complex decisions, and manages high volumes of concurrent interactions without sacrificing quality

Collaborative and cross-functional — comfortable partnering with operations, AI-assisted tools, and national teams to move clients forward

Highly responsive and organized, with personal ownership over your task queue, follow-ups, and outcomes

Adaptable and coachable — open to feedback, evolving processes, and continuous improvement

Experience with CRM systems, leasing platforms, or sales tools is a plus; weekend availability required

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or GED required

At least 1 year of experience in sales, leasing, property management, residential sales, or a consultative customer-facing sales role

Preferred Attributes

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
