What You’ll Do
- Provide high‑quality care for intermediate‑acuity patients transitioning from critical care to Med/Surg level.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care using evidence‑based practices.
- Perform accurate hand‑offs and bedside shift reporting to maintain patient safety.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practitioners, and multidisciplinary partners to optimize patient outcomes.
- Administer medications, monitor complex conditions (cardiac, respiratory, post‑ICU), and support recovery.
- Participate in huddles, shared governance activities, and unit‑based quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
- BSN preferred.
Licensure
Current Missouri RN license or compact license.
Certifications
- Required: BLS (American Heart Association).
- Preferred: ACLS, NIHSS, PCCN, or other Stepdown‑related certifications.
