We are currently seeking a Nurse Manager-RN that will work effectively within the WindRose Health Network culture, which is described as family-friendly, supportive, transparent, and treats employees as we would want employees to treat our patients. We are seeking a Nurse Manager-RN that will be located in Johnson County that is a good advocate for their patients, solution-oriented, honest and passionate. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organizes and directs the flow of patients in clinic.
- In conjunction with the Practice Manager, delegates and supervises the daily assignments of the medical support staff.
- Assists the medical support staff with prioritizing their daily work tasks and assessing patients’ needs and medical conditions.
- Ensures the provision of services occurs in a manner congruent with patients' needs, established quality of care standards, and timeliness of service.
- Works effectively with the WHN's clinical providers and triage/scheduling staff to coordinate adjustments to medical providers’ schedules based upon patients' requests for services and their respective level of urgency as assessed by the Triage Nurse (as outlined by WHN triage protocols).
- Updates and maintains appropriate and concise documentation in the patient’s medical record.
- Coordinates and delivers a standardized level of medical services to patients by using nursing assessment skills and by following WHN triage protocols.
- Assists the site Practice Manager with supervision of the nurses and medical support staff.
- Provides training for the nurses and medical support staff.
- At the request of the site Practice Manager, assists with the performance evaluation of the nurses and medical assistants.
- Ensures that all emergency equipment is properly stocked and stored for the care of patients.
- Performs other assigned duties as required.
- Educates and/or advises patients regarding care related issues, (within the scope of his/her training and job duties), in a safe, effective and appropriate manner.
- When indicated, works with the Practice Manager to function as an internal patient advocate.
- Serves as a "float" clinical support staff member, as needed.
Requirements
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING: Educational requirements are an Associate’s degree or higher in Nursing. Minimum of (3) years of experience in an ambulatory care or family practice clinic, a community health center, a public health setting or a health care related environment. Knowledge of prenatal and women’s health procedures and care coordination concepts. Knowledge of eligibility requirements and available services from the BCCP and the LRD. A qualified candidate will have completed training as a Registered Nurse (RN), as well as have a current Indiana nursing license.

Nursing: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- RN License (Required)
