Job Description:

Nursing Assistant - 3 North Tower Medical Surgical

Part-Time 7a - 7p

The Nursing Assistant performs designated tasks in the provision of age-appropriate care for patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.

• •Obtains and documents reported height and weighs patient on admission and documents.
• •Turns and positions patients every 2 hours as indicated, using proper body mechanics.
• •Assists and promotes activity, ambulation, up in chair and other activities as ordered.
• •Assists patients with personal hygiene, including as showering, bathing, shaving, shampooing, perianal-care, catheter care and oral care.
• •Takes and records vital signs accurately within established time frame.
• •Consistently performs hourly rounds to ensure patient safety and promote customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• •High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• •Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• •Certified Nursing License (CNA) preferred.
• •Six months experience in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred. ​
