Nursing Assistant - Float Team Nights

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking Nursing Assistants to become a part of our team of dedicated professionals! As a member of our Magnet- designated Nursing team, you will provide support to the inpatient nursing staff, while working to ensure comfort and safety for our patients and their family members.

Role Overview:

• •Be responsible for taking patient vital signs, including blood pressure, heart and respiratory rate, temperature and oxygen saturation
• •Encourage patient to perform exercises and guide patient activities as advised including ambulating, transferring, turning and positioning
• •Maintain a clean, comfortable environment for each patient that aligns with MSK policies and procedures
• •Perform personal hygiene tasks for patients including bathing, mouth care, peri-care and skin care
• •Ensure patient has necessarily supplies every single day including a clean gown, towels, soap, etc; change bed linens as needed
• •Record intake and output
• •Escort discharged patients out of hospital as directed by RN
• •Provide Post-mortem care

Key Qualifications:

• •Nursing Assistant or other healthcare related certification (PCT, EMT, Med Tech, Home Health Aid, LPN) required, OR at least 1 year of healthcare related experience (NA, PCT, EMT, Med Tech, Home Health Aid, LPN) in lieu of the certification.
• •BLS Certification required by the time of hire

Pay Range: $22.42- $28.77/hr

• •Schedule: 7PM-7:30AM; Mon-Fri weekend and holiday rotation

Pay Range: $22.87 - $29.38
