Job Description

What you’ll do

• •Maintain and repair all electrical, instrumentation and control systems on site.
• •Perform calibration as required on all control system input and output devices. Example: transmitters, control valves, etc.
• •Maintain power distribution equipment including switchgear, motor control centers, power distribution panels, etc.
• •Assist in improvement of maintenance procedures and record keeping.
• •Maintain Gas Turbine Continuous Emissions Monitoring System.
• •Support Operations and Maintenance personnel as required.
• •Comply with all applicable environmental, health, and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

• •High School Diploma / GED
• •Minimum 2 years progressively responsible experience in power plant, marine, refinery, or similar industries.
• •Proficient in calibration and troubleshooting of Instrumentation
• •Experience with repair or replacement of process control instrumentation
• •Fundamental knowledge of programmable logic controllers or distributed control systems
• •Fundamental knowledge of electrical distribution equipment.
• •Able to use test instruments for electrical testing and troubleshooting.
• •Available for call-outs during the week and weekends.
• •Willing to learn equipment operation, troubleshooting and repair from Manufacturers Manuals or other information.
• •Able to climb ladders and stairs to access equipment installed within the power plant.
• •Able to pass a pre-hire background check, drug screening, and physical exam.

What will make you stand out

• •Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Electronics Technology or Electronics Engineering Technology.
• •Installation, setup, and troubleshooting of networks and network switches
• •Demonstrated knowledge in calibration and troubleshooting of instrumentation with record of success outside of school.
• •Experience in Maintenance Management System.
• •Experience with troubleshooting and repair without established procedures.
• •Knowledge of Modbus concept.
• •Familiarization with the National Electrical Code.
• •Willing to share knowledge and experience with other technicians in the group.
• •Proficient in using computers running Microsoft Windows 7 and Microsoft programs Word, Excel, etc.
• •Flexible, adapts well to changes in scope and schedule.
• •Thrives on variety, learning, and cooperation.
• •Collaborates effectively in a team setting.
• •Qualified to operate aerial lift, scissor lift, forklift.
