Hiring Unit

Department of Music Performance, Ensemble Resource Office

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, distribute and collect sheet music for the ensemble.
  • Efficiently setup and strike all rehearsals in the 30 minutes prior and following rehearsals.
  • Submit official attendance records within 24 hours.
  • Confirm seating charts and assignments for rehearsals.
  • Work directly with the Ensemble Resource Supervisor and Performance Librarian.

Required Skills

  • Good communication in person and via email.
  • Demonstrated ability to Keen attention to detail and timely follow up to emails.
  • Must be a music student. Preference given to conducting student for the ensemble.
  • Work schedule is determined in coordination with the ensemble Director/s according to the needs of the ensemble. May be required to work on weekends.

Knowledge of English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level # 4
