Job Description
This Role
IQ-EQ is seeking a Senior Officer – Financial Reporting to lead the delivery of high-quality financial reporting services for private equity, hedge fund, real estate, and other alternative investment clients. This role is responsible for reviewing and preparing complex financial statements across multiple GAAP frameworks, ensuring timely client deliverables, managing stakeholder relationships, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and client service.
What you'll do
- You'll prepare and review complex financial statements, disclosures, NAV packs, and other reporting deliverables for hedge funds, private equity, real estate, and management companies across multiple GAAP frameworks, including IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP, Lux GAAP, and Canadian GAAP.
- You'll lead the timely and accurate delivery of client reporting requirements, coordinate with onshore teams and stakeholders, resolve queries from clients, auditors, and directors, and ensure all deliverables meet agreed service levels and quality standards.
- You'll manage, coach, and develop team members by providing technical and non-technical guidance, reviewing work outputs, monitoring performance, supporting learning initiatives, and acting as an alternate to managers when required.
- You'll oversee workflow planning, resource allocation, timesheet and overtime approvals, review processes, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, productivity, and service delivery across the team.
- You'll champion risk management and compliance by ensuring adherence to SSAE and client-specific requirements, maintaining strong knowledge of client agreements, SOWs and SLAs, escalating issues appropriately, and implementing corrective and preventive actions where necessary.
