Operations Managers – Kemps Creek NSW – Amazon Account

About the role and opportunity –

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead day ‑ to ‑ day warehouse and distribution centre operations at our Amazon Kemps Creek site.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and cost ‑ effective operation of the DC, delivering service excellence while meeting performance, safety and financial targets. This is a senior, hands ‑ on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in fast ‑ paced, high ‑ volume environments and is passionate about people, safety and continuous improvement.

This pivotal role is responsible for delivering high-quality logistics services to our customers, ensuring operational efficiency, profitability, and long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities, but not limited to -

Lead and manage daily warehouse and distribution operations to meet service and financial targets .

Plan and coordinate resources to ensure labour, equipment and systems are utilised efficiently .

Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and enhancing service outcomes .

Investigate operational issues, implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement .

Ensure all site processes, procedures and standards are documented, implemented and adhered to .

Act as point of escalation for operational issues and support audits, inspections and reviews .

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support growth and operational excellence.

What We’re Looking for to Drive Success –

Experience or exposure in a 3PL environment – understanding third-party logistics and client service delivery.

Strong knowledge of warehousing and distribution best practice, WMS and labour optimisation .

Demonstrated ability to lead teams, coach performance and foster a collaborative site culture .

Sound understanding of safety, legislative and compliance requirements .

S trong problem ‑ solving skills with a solutions ‑ focused mindset .

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills .
