We’re seeking for an experienced Process Assistant to join the team at our Fulfillment Center in Dandenong on a Sunday to Wednesday day shift.
The Process Assistant will support the Area Manager, and will hold responsibilities specific to receive, stow, pick, pack or ship.
- Key job responsibilities:
- - Support and work in other departments as required,
- - Helping support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties,
- - Providing coverage for Area Managers,
- - Providing policy follow-up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline),
- - Tracking and reporting of ATS/labor hours,
- - Assisting the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance,
- - Ensuring successful area performance, through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance,
- - Participating in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity,
- - Fully understanding workflow and daily production goals,
- - Assisting in keeping work area clean and organised,
- - Identifying and addressing safety hazards within the work area,
- - Coaching associates to work safely at all times
- - Referring all job injuries immediately to area manager.
Basic qualifications
- - Previous experience leading teams
- - Experience working within a similar field (manufacturing/distribution/warehousing/large retail)
- - Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train and assist team members
- - Availability to work 38 hours+/week, and overtime as required
- - Experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Preferred qualifications
- - Leadership experience directly managing others
- - Comfortable in lifting up to 16 kilos, stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach, all with or without reasonable accommodation
- - Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement
