Job Description:

• •Location: 151 Victoria Commons Blvd Ste 107, Deland, FL 32724 but will also be required to float to Orange City, Waterman, New Smyrna Beach, Daytona Beach and Palm Coast.
• •Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
• •Practices principles of employee and patient safety during daily job activities.
• •Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures, and other extensions of clinical expertise to the community.
• •Implements individualized treatment plans based on physical therapy evaluations and through consideration of practice standards, recommended techniques, insurance guidelines, and patient needs.
• •Modifies treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments in consultation with physical therapist.
• •Collects patient data and communicates with the physical therapists regarding discharge recommendations when maximum benefit has been achieved.
• •Documents patient care accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology, following standards of practice, insurance guidelines, and department/hospital policies.
• •Charges patients accurately and timely according to CPT code format, price file, and insurance guidelines.
• •Oversees the care provided by rehabilitation aides according to established regulations and practice standards, and may involve coordinating activities of rehabilitation aides, students, and other support personnel.
• •Evaluates and interprets patient data relative to age-appropriate behavior, motor skills, and physiological norms, modifying approaches and communication skills accordingly.
• •Identifies the need for patient and caregiver education, utilizing opportunities for teaching and documenting understanding as appropriate.
• •Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports departmental quality standards and initiatives.
• •Maintains clinical competencies through professional development, best practices, and serving as a clinical instructor.
• •Maintains productivity standards as defined by the department and adjusts work hours to meet the needs of the patients as required.
• •Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• •Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Windows, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• •Ability to read, write, and speak conversational English effectively.
• •Ability to communicate effectively in written, verbal, and electronic formats

Pay Range:

• $21.77 - $40.48
• Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
