About the Role
The Outreach & Partnership Specialist is an important member of the Homewise Marketing team focused on building relationships, increasing community awareness, and connecting employers, organizations, and community members with Homewise programs and services.
In this role, you’ll represent Homewise at community events, networking opportunities, employer presentations, and educational sessions. You’ll help develop and maintain partnerships with employers, community organizations, and other stakeholders while supporting outreach efforts throughout New Mexico.
You’ll also work closely with internal teams to coordinate events, strengthen community relationships, and increase awareness of Homewise’s homebuyer, educational, and commercial services.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting and implementing community outreach and engagement efforts.
- Representing Homewise at community events, expos, networking opportunities, and professional gatherings.
- Building and maintaining relationships with employers, community organizations, business leaders, and other stakeholders.
- Supporting the development and ongoing management of employer partnerships, including outreach, onboarding, communication, follow-up, and relationship stewardship.
- Conducting Power Hour information sessions and employer presentations to educate community members about Homewise programs and services.
- Supporting programs and outreach efforts that address the financial and homebuying needs of Homewise audiences throughout New Mexico.
- Helping ensure outreach activities align with Homewise goals and priorities.
- Partnering with the Director of Communications and other internal teams to coordinate ribbon cuttings, open houses, educational programs, and other Homewise events.
- Coordinating with teams including Policy and Advocacy, Homebuyer Education, and Marketing to support event logistics and community engagement.
- Coordinating Homewise participation in tabling, networking, and community events.
- Identifying opportunities to develop new relationships with community organizations, employers, and business partners.
- Helping increase participation in public events, educational sessions, and employer presentations.
- Supporting community events and outreach efforts that increase awareness of Homewise and its services.
- Tracking outreach activities, partnerships, participation, and follow-up efforts as needed.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Proven experience in community outreach, event planning, public relations, business development, relationship management, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Strong public-speaking skills and the ability to engage with diverse audiences.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently with appropriate direction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Windows, and other appropriate software applications.
- On-site presence in the Albuquerque and/or Santa Fe office five days per week.
- Evening and weekend availability for community events.
- Ability to travel locally as needed.
- Ability to occasionally lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
Preferred Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, outreach tracking tools, or graphic design platforms.
