Sentara Norfolk General Hospital (SNGH) is currently hiring a Manager, Main Operating Room/PACU!
This is a Full-Time position with great benefits!
Position is located in Norfolk, VA.
Serving as a destination medical center in the Mid-Atlantic region, Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is one of just five Level 1 trauma centers in Virginia, home to the Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance, region’s first Magnet® hospital and nationally ranked heart program at Sentara Heart Hospital.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility and accountability for operations and success.
- Responsible for the delivery of high quality services which meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Position is responsible for safe management of patients throughout perioperative experience.
- Serve as mentor by role modeling a professional practice consistent with surgeon expectations, organizational goals, customer service, clinical effectiveness, patient safety and clinical standards of care.
- Manage 2 direct reports and oversight of approx. 125 indirect reports
- Scope include the following specialties: General/ENT/Trauma, Vascular/Podiatry and GYN/Eyes/Plastics/Orientees
- Hiring of RNs including their Call schedule and Holiday schedule
Job Requirements:
- Required Education : RN-Bachelor's Level Degree
- Experience: Operating Room- 3 years; Supervisory- 3 years
- Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse
- Master's level degree in nursing preferred.
- Preferred experience in PACU or ICU as well as leadership experience in a highly complex academic medical center.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $123,572.80 - $188,635.20 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital , located in Norfolk, VA, is a 525-bed tertiary care facility that is home to the only Level I Adult Trauma Center and burn trauma unit in Hampton Roads, and also serves as the primary teaching hospital for Eastern Virginia Medical School.
In addition to the high-quality heart program at Sentara Heart Hospital, our facility is home to Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance and several other dedicated facilities and specialized services. As a recognized accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Magnet hospital for nursing excellence, our hospital specializes in heart and vascular, neurosciences, neurosurgery, urology, oncology, spine care, advanced imaging, behavioral health, maternity, and women’s health, including a state-of-the-art neonatal intensive care unit.
