Schedule: 26 hours per week, Evenings

Week 1: Monday 3p-9p, Wednesday 3p-9p, Thursday 3p-9p, Saturday 2p-10p

Week 2: Sunday 3p-11p, Monday 3p-9p, Wednesday 3p-9p, thursday 3p-9p

Week 3: Monday 3p-9p, Wednesday 3p-9p, Thursday 3p-11:30p, Friday 3p-9p

Training: The first two weeks of training are M-F, 8a-430pm must be able to attend this*

What you will do:

• •Provide patient focused customer service.
• •Perform outpatient & / or inpatient registration & insurance verification functions;
• •Collect patient financial liability payments & ensures that patients meet financial requirements including Medicare medical necessity, payer pre-certifications & referrals.
• •Provide general information to hospital users, patients, families & physician offices

What you will need:

• •1 year customer service experience, required
• •HS Diploma or equivalent required
• •Data entry skills (50 to 60 keystrokes per minute)
• •Basic computer skills
• •HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA required within one (1) year of hire.
• •Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• •Interpersonal skills to work with internal and external customers.
• •Accuracy and attentiveness to detail and time management skills.

Nice to have:

• •Medical terminology
• •Knowledge of diagnostic & procedural coding Insurance verification with the ability to explain benefits, secure necessary authorizations
