oMinimum Requirement: Current NC CNA listing; current CPR, AEGIS De Escalation Training within 3 months of Hire.

OPreferred At Hire: One-Year Experience In Hospital Setting, Preferably Critical Care And Behavioral Health Experience.

Job Description:

The Patient Care and Observation Technician (PCOT) performs selected patient care tasks, under the direction of a licensed nurse, to assist in the delivery of patient care. Performs, when necessary, clerical duties and assists the Emergency Center/Inpatient staff in maintaining records and completing reports. Coordinates communications between Emergency Center/Inpatient staff, the patient, and interdisciplinary departments. Is accountable for all patient care in the Emergency Center/Inpatient Departments.

Qualifications include high school diploma or equivalency,�current NC CNA listing and CPR required, prior behavioral health training.�One year experience in hospital setting, preferably critical care and behavioral health experience.
