Job Summary

Patient Services Coordinator II — MGH Beacon Hill Primary Care

Boston, MA | Full-time, 40 hours | Day shift | Onsite

Bring your organization, communication, and customer service skills to MGH Beacon Hill Primary Care. As a Patient Services Coordinator II, you’ll help create a welcoming, efficient experience for patients while supporting physicians, nurses, and clinical staff in a fast-paced practice environment.

What You’ll Do

Welcome and assist patients through scheduling, check-in, and check-out.

Answer incoming calls, respond to routine questions, and triage messages to the appropriate clinical team member.

Schedule appointments and maintain accurate registration, appointment, billing, and medical record information in EPIC.

Process forms, scan documents, obtain medical records and test results, and distribute mail and faxes.

Handle messages related to prior authorizations, provider questions, prescription refills, and test results.

Serve as an EPIC scheduling, registration, and billing resource; training is provided.

Support colleagues with training and perform specialized scheduling functions as assigned.

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • - Proficiency with all Office Suite, Knowledge of office operations and standards, and understanding of office procedures, including filing, copying, scanning, printing, and faxing.
  • - Ability to use the phone system, manage more non-routine phone calls, and solve routine issues as appropriate.
  • - Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience and talking to others to convey information effectively.
  • - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents, corresponding and communicating with others clearly and effectively (including composing/editing e-mails, memos, and letters), and taking complete and accurate messages.
  • - Managing one's own time and the time of others.
  • - Well-organized and good time management skills to manage multiple tasks effectively, follow established protocols, and work within systems.

Compensation: The pay rate for this position starts at $20.00 per hour, with increases based on the candidate's years of experience.
