Pediatric Phlebotomist - Part-time

Description

Children’s Medical Group has been providing the highest quality Pediatric care since 1947. We are comprised of 4 offices in Atlanta, Johns Creek, Decatur and Buckhead.

This is a part-time position at our Buckhead location with a Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule (3 days). There is also a Saturday rotation once a month from 8:30am-1:00pm.

Duties Include:

• •Performs phlebotomy according to stated procedure.
• •Properly identify patient in accordance with HIPAA.
• •Label specimens immediately after drawing.
• •Process specimens as soon as possible.
• •Assists with restocking laboratory supplies.
• •Input patient demographics and test result information into record systems.
• •Answer telephone in section and respond accordingly.
• •Performs additional duties as required.

Requirements

Qualifications include:

• •High school diploma or equivalent.
• •Phlebotomy certified.
• •Ability to Multi-task efficiently and effectively.
• •Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• •Familiarity with computers and other office equipment.
• •Basic typing and keyboard skills.
• •Must be able to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation.
