Per Diem Float Pool Registered Nurse

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based bedside nursing care across various units including Medical, Surgical, and Telemetry.

- Adapt to different clinical environments and patient populations, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.

- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.

- Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in the electronic medical record.

- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies, demonstrating strong clinical judgment.

- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Medical-Surgical or Telemetry setting.

- Current New York State RN license

- Current BLS and ACLS certifications

- Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred.

- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and excellent teamwork skills.

- Ability to float within scope of competency and handle varying assignments with professionalism.

Requirements

Per diem Float Pool RNs provide bedside care across multiple Medical/Surgical/Telemetry units and are expected to deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing practice. Assignments may vary daily, and candidates must be comfortable floating within their scope of competency.

Qualifications:

• •Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Med-Surg/Telemetry setting
• •Current New York State RN license (required at time of submission)
• •Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• •Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred
• •Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork skills

Floating Requirement:

Agency and per diem nurses may be floated to other units within their demonstrated competencies, based on hospital staffing needs.
