Policy & Process Writer

  • Chilliwack, BC | Full-Time, 6-Month Term Contract
  • $38.00–$45.00/hour dependent on experience

Ruth & Naomi’s Mission is looking for an experienced Policy & Process Writer to help strengthen and standardize policies, procedures, and operational processes across our growing organization.

Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, this specialized six-month contract role will work closely with leaders and subject-matter experts across departments to understand current practices, identify gaps and inconsistencies, and translate complex operational, regulatory, and accreditation requirements into clear, practical documentation.

What You’ll Do

  • Research, draft, revise, and standardize organizational policies, procedures, guidelines, and supporting documentation
  • Review existing documentation to identify gaps, duplication, inconsistencies, and outdated information
  • Meet with leaders and subject-matter experts to understand and map current workflows and operational practices
  • Develop clear procedures, workflows, templates, checklists, and supporting tools
  • Translate legislative, regulatory, accreditation, and operational requirements into practical documentation
  • Support accreditation, compliance, and quality initiatives
  • Establish consistent standards for policy documentation, review cycles, and document control
  • Coordinate stakeholder input and facilitate policy and process reviews
  • Manage multiple projects and independently drive work through to completion

What You’ll Bring

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, Public Administration, Quality Management, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience developing organizational policies, procedures, and process documentation
  • Experience with accreditation, quality assurance, or regulated environments strongly preferred
  • Exceptional professional and technical writing skills
  • Strong process-mapping, analytical, and critical-thinking abilities
  • Strong project-management and organizational skills
  • Excellent interviewing, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills
  • Ability to turn complex information into clear, practical documentation
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and consistently move projects forward
  • Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, social services, or another complex environment considered an asset

Compensation

$38.00–$45.00/hour , dependent on experience

Schedule

  • Full-Time, on-site, 6-month contract
  • Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm, with some flexibility as needed
