Prep Cook (Part-Time) – The Roof | $19–$21/hr

Located inside the historic Joseph Smith Memorial Building on Temple Square, The Roof Restaurant offers an unforgettable dining experience in one of the most beautiful venues in Utah.

We’re looking for Prep Cooks who are passionate professionals and take pride in their craft, contributing to a team known for excellence.

Part-time | 15–25 hours/week | 2–3 shifts

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, and portioning according to established recipes and guidelines

• •Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked prep station before, during, and after service
• •Support line cooks and other kitchen staff during service as needed

Assist with special projects, banquets, and events as assigned

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Previous experience as a line cook or prep cook (high-volume experience preferred)

• •Reliable, positive, and team-oriented attitude
• •Excellent time management and communication skills
• •Dependable, team oriented, and strong work ethic

JOB ENVIRONMENT/OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

May be required to work outside of regular business hours, including weekends, early mornings, and holidays, to accommodate business needs

Standing and walking for extended periods of time

Ability to repetitively bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds

Ability to pass a drug screen and background check, as well as abide by all company policies

Takes on additional duties as required or assigned by management

COMPENSATION:

$19.00 - $21.00/hour. This range is inclusive of multiple job levels. Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to evaluation of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with market data.
