Key Responsibilities :

• •Set up and operate press machines according to production specifications and safety procedures
• •Load raw materials and monitor machine cycles for optimal operation
• •Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools to ensure conformity to specifications
• •Make necessary adjustments to press equipment to maintain quality and output standards
• •Interpret production orders, part drawings, and technical specifications
• •Perform routine preventive maintenance and report mechanical issues as needed
• •Maintain accurate documentation for production output, scrap, and downtime
• •Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements
• •Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures; use PPE as required
• •Participate in continuous improvement and Lean initiatives within the department

Required Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or GED

Experience:

1+ year of experience operating press machinery in a manufacturing environment

Skills and Competencies:

• •Basic understanding of press operations, materials handling, and mechanical adjustments
• •Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and measurement tools
• •Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• •Good physical condition (standing for long periods, lifting up to 40lbs, repetitive motion)
• •Technical or vocational training in manufacturing or mechanical operations
• •Familiarity with progressive die and punch press operations
• •Forklift certification
• •Experience working under Lean Manufacturing or 5S principles

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• •Manufacturing floor environment: exposure to noise, grease, heat, and moving machinery
• •May require shift work, weekends, or overtime based on production demands
• •PPE required (gloves, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, etc.)
• •Ability to lift and carry up to [e.g., 40 lbs]
• •Prolonged standing and manual dexterity
• •Visual acuity for inspection and reading measurements
