Ready to do something big?

How would you build the next generation of mission-critical systems and services that power the ability to send, store, and manage billions of products across the globe on behalf of our selling partners?

Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is the Amazon service for worldwide sellers that offers access to Amazon's vast distribution network as a service. Similar to how AWS provides infrastructure as a service, FBA allows sellers to only pay for what they use, leveraging our world-class infrastructure. Sellers in 135 countries worldwide, from Fortune 50 companies to hundreds of thousands of small businesses and entrepreneurs, rely upon our technology to grow and thrive on Amazon's Marketplaces.

In a very real way, we are changing lives with the work we do. FBA team members wake up every day thinking about how to enable our sellers to be successful by building highly scalable and highly reliable platforms. Enabling seller success allows us to provide Amazon customers with unparalleled selection and pricing. FBA is a win for sellers and a win for customers.

Third-party sellers have become one of Amazon's greatest growth engines, outpacing our own first-party retail business for years. That success did not happen by accident. We invested in building the best possible selling tools — from inventory management and payment processing to shipment tracking, reporting, and cross-border commerce — and we continue to invent new ones every year. FBA and the Prime membership program sit at the heart of that effort, dramatically improving the customer experience of buying from independent sellers and unlocking growth for businesses of every size.

As a Principal Technical Program Manager with FBA, you will lead broad cross-organization efforts from the early stages through release. You will work closely with product managers, engineering managers, scientists, and engineers to build the next generation of seller platforms. You will be responsible for influencing the organization's product and technical roadmap and technical architecture. You will drive organization-wide engineering and operational excellence initiatives, represent difficult trade-off decisions and solutions clearly to senior leaders, and leverage your technical knowledge to guide technical choices. You will manage cross-functional and cross-organization communication to ensure all stakeholders are informed and needs are aligned, guiding technical direction to deliver solutions that meet Amazon's high standards for customer satisfaction, efficiency, stability, extensibility, simplicity, and operational excellence.

  • Key job responsibilities
  • - Lead broad, cross-organizational programs from strategy definition through delivery, owning the technology roadmap for seller-facing platforms and driving alignment across product, engineering, and science teams.
  • - Define and decompose complex technical problems into clear solutions, assessing risk, driving clarity, and creating the right sense of urgency to keep programs on track.
  • - Influence the organization's product and technical architecture by applying deep system knowledge, identifying gaps across services and workflows, and proposing improvements that reduce repeated effort year over year.
  • - Partner with senior leadership to communicate trade-offs, present options, and drive decisions — managing cross-functional stakeholder alignment and escalating with strong judgment when necessary.
  • - Amplify your impact by mentoring other technical program managers, driving adoption of program management best practices, and contributing to the broader technical community.
  • A day in the life
  • Your primary focus will be guiding large-scale, cross-team programs that directly shape how millions of sellers interact with Amazon's fulfillment network. You will spend your time working across product managers, engineering leaders, and scientists — aligning priorities, unblocking technical decisions, and ensuring delivery stays on course. Expect a mix of deep technical design reviews, strategic roadmap discussions with senior leaders, and hands-on problem solving when programs hit ambiguity.
  • About the team
  • The FBA team builds and operates the platforms that enable sellers in 135 countries to store, ship, and manage billions of products through Amazon's global fulfillment network. Our mission is straightforward: make sellers successful so customers get the selection and value they expect. We are investing in the next generation of seller tools and infrastructure, and this role will be central to shaping that future. If you want to work on programs that operate at massive scale and have a direct impact on both sellers and customers worldwide, this is the team for you.
