Job Description:

Job Summary:**

Hitachi, Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Process Engineering Manager to lead and optimize manufacturing processes within our organization. This role will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across production lines.

Job Responsibilities:**

  • * Lead, mentor, and develop a team of process engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • * Oversee the design, development, and implementation of new manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • * Analyze existing production processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • * Develop and execute strategies for process optimization, including lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and automation.
  • * Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for process efficiency, quality, and cost.
  • * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, quality assurance, and maintenance, to ensure seamless integration of process changes.
  • * Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
  • * Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • * Generate comprehensive reports and presentations on process performance and improvement initiatives.
  • * Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in process engineering.

Job Qualifications:**

  • * Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • * Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • * Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements and achieving significant results.
  • * Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred).
  • * Experience with process simulation software and statistical analysis tools.
  • * Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • * Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • * Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Japanese is a plus.
