Procurement Specialist

As Procurement Specialist, you will take a hands-on role in managing purchasing activities, developing supplier relationships, supporting negotiations, and coordinating contracts across the business.

You will help build scalable procurement processes, designed to work within a growing industrial and manufacturing environment. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery of materials and services.

We’re a Germany-based rocketry startup currently in stealth mode, scaling up rapidly to meet the demand for high-performance, reliable, and scalable solid propulsion technologies for space and defense applications.

We are already launching suborbital and ballistic rockets on a regular basis, generating significant revenue and applying our knowledge toward the development of an orbital rocket.

Key responsibilities

Manage end-to-end purchasing activities, including requirements, quotations, purchase orders, and delivery follow-up.

Build and manage supplier relationships, support negotiations, and monitor supplier performance.

Coordinate supplier contracts, documentation, renewals, and commercial issue resolution.

Maintain accurate procurement records and collaborate with finance, operations, engineering, and quality teams.

Help establish standardized procurement processes as purchasing activities move into a structured procurement function.

Support the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations and ensure procurement activities follow company policies and compliance requirements.

What we’re looking for

Proven procurement experience in an industrial, manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, defence or similar high stakes high reliability environment.

Experience managing suppliers, purchasing materials or services, and supporting commercial negotiations.

Strong organizational and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

A hands-on, pragmatic approach to solving operational and supplier-related challenges.

Strong communication and relationship-management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions.

Desirable experience

Experience using an ERP system such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics.

Experience with procurement process improvement, ERP implementation, or structured procurement controls.

Experience in a high paced startup environment, building scalable processes from scratch
