Who we are
The real world is the next frontier, and at Metropolis, we are creating the artificial intelligence to make it responsive. We are pioneering the Recognition Economy — a future where mundane repetition disappears and being known unlocks access, comfort, and belonging everywhere you go. From transforming parking into a seamless drive-in, drive-out experience for millions of Members to expanding our intelligence layer across retail and hospitality, we are building a world that feels instinctive and magical. The future isn’t coming; it’s here, and we need builders, innovators, and problem solvers to help us create it.
Who you are
Metropolis is seeking a Product Designer to help execute a world-class experience design strategy that bridges the gap between our digital platform and the physical world. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the "Recognition Economy" Metropolis is building—defining how our technology is applied across parking, security, hospitality, internal tools, and more for both customers and real-estate partners.
What you'll do
Own the design process for specific product features from initial discovery and wireframing to high-fidelity prototyping and developer handoff
Conduct tactical user research, including usability testing and interviews, to validate concepts and translate findings into design improvements
Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers to define requirements and ensure technical feasibility
Contribute to and maintain our design system, ensuring a cohesive visual language and high bar for craft across all platforms
Proactively use product analytics and customer feedback to identify friction points and iterate on existing features
What we're looking for
3+ years of experience in UX/UI or Product Design
Demonstrated experience shipping functional, beautiful products
Demonstrated experience designing seamless end-to-end journeys that bridge digital interfaces with physical environments
Ability to map and optimize touchpoints that occur beyond the screen, ensuring a fluid transition for users moving from a mobile app to a physical location
Expert-level skills in Figma and prototyping tools
Ability to clearly articulate your design decisions to stakeholders and take constructive feedback with a growth mindset
While not required, these are a plus:
Experience within a B2B2C SaaS or technology-driven environment with a consumer-focused impact
Experience using AI-first code editors like Cursor to build and use AI to bridge the gap from static mockups to production-ready design
Experience using ProtoPie (or similar advanced tools) to create high-fidelity, logic-based prototypes

When you join Metropolis, you'll join a team of world-class product leaders and engineers, building an ecosystem of technologies at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate. Our goal is to build an inclusive culture where everyone has a voice and the best idea wins. You will play a key role in building and maintaining this culture as our organization grows.
