Lead the Mobile Product Quality Engineering team to drive end-to-end product quality ownership throughout the product lifecycle, from New Product Introduction (NPI) through High Volume Manufacturing (HVM). The role is responsible for qualification execution, product quality monitoring, reliability assessment, customer quality support, risk management, and cross-functional technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Product Quality Ownership

• •Own overall quality performance for Mobile product portfolio.
• •Drive product quality strategy and execution from NPI through HVM.
• •Partner with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Global Quality, Reliability Engineering, and Business Units to ensure successful product ramp and customer satisfaction.
• •Serve as primary escalation point for product quality issues and risk assessments.

New Product Introduction (NPI) & Qualification

• •Lead qualification planning and execution for new technology nodes, products, and process changes.
• •Drive qualification readiness, sample planning, qualification reviews, and release milestones.
• •Ensure qualification activities meet internal and customer requirements.
• •Manage qualification failures, disposition decisions, and corrective action implementation.

Product Guardband (PG) & Yield Monitoring

• •Monitor product quality indicators and yield health during product ramp.
• •Drive root cause investigation and corrective actions for quality excursions.
• •Lead product guardband strategy and quality containment decisions.
• •Collaborate with Fab, Assembly, Test, and PE teams to improve product robustness.

Reliability & Quality Risk Assessment

• •Lead eWLBI, UE-ROW, UE Simulation, Burn-in, and other reliability-related assessments.
• •Evaluate product reliability risks and drive qualification/disposition decisions.
• •Partner with Reliability Engineering and QRA teams to ensure long-term product reliability performance.
• •Present risk assessments and recommendations to executive management and customer-facing teams.

Production Test Support (PTS)

• •Oversee PTS execution, monitoring, and issue management.
• •Drive yield, defectivity, and reliability improvement through PTS analysis.
• •Support test strategy optimization and risk reduction activities.

Customer Quality & RMA Management

• •Lead customer issue investigations and RMA activities.
• •Ensure timely root cause identification, containment, corrective actions, and customer communication support.
• •Drive continuous improvement based on field return learnings and customer feedback.

OQRM & Risk Management

• •Lead Overall Quality Risk Management (OQRM) activities.
• •Drive cross-functional risk reviews and mitigation plans.
• •Ensure quality risks are appropriately assessed, documented, escalated, and resolved.

Backend Quality & MRB Leadership

• •Lead Backend-related MRB (Material Review Board) decision making.
• •Drive quality disposition strategy for assembly, test, reliability, and field-related issues.
• •Balance customer risk, manufacturing efficiency, and product quality in disposition decisions.
• •Establish consistent decision-making processes and quality governance across organizations.

AI & Digital Leadership Expectations

• •Demonstrated ability to leverage AI and advanced analytics to drive data-driven decision making and engineering efficiency.
• •Champion the adoption of Generative AI and automation tools to improve team productivity and workflow effectiveness.
• •Ability to identify opportunities for AI-enabled solutions in quality, reliability, and manufacturing-related challenges.
• •Foster a digital-first culture and develop team capabilities in AI, data analytics, and emerging technologies.
