Schedule: 2nd shift
As our next Production Group Lead , you’ll be at the forefront of leading production operators to achieve the highest levels of safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency. Your expertise in manufacturing operations, process improvement, operator training, and team leadership will be critical in driving operational excellence and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead and support production operators to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals
- Perform router markups and maintain router revision updates
- Conduct time studies to improve process efficiency and labor utilization
- Create, revise, and maintain General Work Instructions (GWIs)
- Monitor scrap and rework activities and implement corrective actions
- Identify and lead process improvement projects to enhance productivity and quality
- Maintain and update product labeling programs
- Complete production reporting documentation including labor reports, corrective action reports, and quality reports
- Select and identify required materials using Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Ensure compliance with Lean Manufacturing principles, safety requirements, and operational guidelines
- Participate in Gemba Kaizen (GK) and continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform equipment setups and support assembly operations as needed
- Train operators on new processes, procedures, and work instructions
- Set up and run new product configurations with minimal supervision
- Set up and run existing product configurations according to job packets and specifications
- Verify products meet all quality requirements before transfer to the next operation
- Maintain working knowledge of all equipment and machinery used within the department
- Support additional operational activities as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- Proficiency in all functions associated with the Production Operator role
- Ability to read, write, and understand verbal and written instructions
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation
- Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent manual dexterity
- Good mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to distinguish colors accurately
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Previous leadership or team lead experience in manufacturing
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience conducting time studies and process analysis
- Experience developing work instructions and process documentation
- Familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and production reporting systems
