Production Planner

Location: HBK Virum

We are looking for a structured and proactive Production Planner to join our Production Planning team.

As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for the day-to-day planning and coordination of production, ensuring that production plans support customer demand and delivery requirements. You will ensure that products are available when needed for production and customer shipments.

You will work closely with Production, Order Management, Customer Care and Logistics to create realistic production plans, manage priorities and resolve issues that may impact delivery.

Your responsibilities

Production Planning

• •Develop and maintain production plans based on demand, capacity and material availability.
• •Plan and prioritise production orders to ensure customer requirements are met.
• •Manage and follow up on production orders to ensure they are ready for production.
• •Monitor production progress and follow up on deviations from the plan.
• •Plan production capacity, labour and machine availability to optimise production flow.
• •Manage customer orders and backlogs and ensure priorities are clearly communicated.
• •Analyse MRP messages and take action on material shortages, delays and other planning issues.
• •Support allocation decisions when required, ensuring available capacity and materials are prioritised effectively.

Data & Systems

• •Maintain accurate planning data and master data.
• •Use SAP S/4HANA to manage production planning activities and follow up on orders and materials.
• •Use Excel and data analysis to monitor performance, identify trends and support planning decisions.
• •Monitor relevant KPIs and follow up on production and delivery performance, taking action where required.

Inventory Management

• •Plan production to balance inventory targets with customer demand.
• •Identify and address potential shortages, excess inventory and other inventory risks.
• •Work with the SIOP team and Procurement to address material availability issues and improve planning parameters.

Coordination & Collaboration

• •Work closely with Production to ensure plans are realistic and executable.
• •Coordinate with the SIOP team, Order Management, Customer Care and Logistics to align priorities and customer requirements.
• •Communicate changes, risks and potential delivery issues proactively.
• •Support escalations and urgent customer requirements by identifying practical solutions and workarounds.
• •Assess how changes in demand, material availability and production capacity affect the production plan.

Continuous Improvement

• •Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, data quality and ways of working.
• •Contribute to standardisation and continuous improvement of production planning.
• •Support the implementation of improved systems, processes and planning methods.
• •Proactively identify gaps and suggest practical solutions to improve efficiency and customer service.

Your profile

We are looking for an analytical and proactive Production Planner who enjoys working closely with the operation and solving planning challenges.

You have:

• •Proven experience in production planning, material planning or a similar planning role.
• •A good understanding of production processes, capacity planning and material availability.
• •Experience with SAP S/4HANA or a similar ERP system.
• •Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• •A structured and detail-oriented approach.
• •Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
• •The ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure.
• •Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• •The ability to work independently while being a strong team player.
• •An interest in continuous improvement and improving ways of working.
