About the Role

As a Profiling Lab Operations Associate at Nomic, you will perform high-throughput multiplex immunoassays to quantify hundreds to thousands of disease-relevant protein biomarkers in cell culture supernatants and human-derived biological specimens from our clients using our proprietary nELISA technology. You will be an integral part of our mission to enable scientists to accelerate drug discovery and improve human health. This role involves extensive hands-on laboratory work and requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality data.

Hiring Timeline: We're growing the team throughout the remainder of the year, so we'll be hiring multiple people for this role. The posting may stay open for an extended period, with multiple start dates available over the coming months.

What you will be doing

Process cell culture supernatants and human biological specimens (e.g., plasma, serum, CSF, saliva, and urine) through our high-throughput workflows, including sample preparation, assay washing, and flow cytometry-based readout.

Work in BSL-1 and BSL-2 laboratory environments while following established biosafety procedures.

Prepare assay reagents, consumables, and other materials required for daily operations.

Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment, including plate washers, liquid handlers, flow cytometers, and centrifuges.

Record and manage laboratory information using our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

Support the manufacturing of critical assay reagents.

Perform routine laboratory operational tasks, including completing assay batch records, conducting inventory cycle counts, aliquoting reagents, restocking consumables, and cleaning laboratory glassware and equipment.

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, chemistry, biotechnology, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a GLP-certified laboratory.

Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a BSL-2 laboratory.

Minimum of 6 months of hands-on experience with flow cytometry.

Experience with automated liquid handlers is considered an asset.

Strong time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Meticulous work ethic, strong organizational skills in a laboratory setting, and high attention to detail.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Comfortable following digital protocols.

Availability requirement : Candidates must be available to work a regular workday scheduled within the 12:00 PM – 11:00 PM time window, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work.

English skills sufficient to understand laboratory technical instructions and explain equipment issues are required. The role involves daily communication in English with vendors and technical support teams primarily located in the U.S. to troubleshoot laboratory equipment, as well as communication with U.S.-based colleagues about laboratory activities.

En tant qu' Associé(e) aux opérations du laboratoire de profilage chez Nomic, vous effectuerez des immuno-essais multiplex à haut débit afin de quantifier des centaines, voire des milliers de biomarqueurs protéiques pertinents pour diverses maladies, dans des surnageants de culture cellulaire et des échantillons biologiques d'origine humaine provenant de nos clients, grâce à notre technologie exclusive nELISA. Vous jouerez un rôle essentiel dans notre mission visant à permettre aux scientifiques d'accélérer la découverte de médicaments et d'améliorer la santé humaine. Ce poste implique un travail de laboratoire pratique et intensif, et exige un solide esprit d'équipe, un grand souci du détail ainsi qu'un engagement envers la production de données de haute qualité.

Nous poursuivons la croissance de notre équipe pendant le reste de l'année, et nous embaucherons donc plusieurs personnes pour ce poste. L'offre pourrait rester affichée pendant une période prolongée, avec plusieurs dates de début possibles au cours des prochains mois.

Vos responsabilités

Traiter des surnageants de culture cellulaire et des échantillons biologiques humains (p. ex., plasma, sérum, LCR, salive et urine) selon nos flux de travail à haut débit, incluant la préparation des échantillons, le lavage des essais et la lecture par cytométrie en flux.

Travailler dans des environnements de laboratoire de niveaux BSL-1 et BSL-2, en respectant les procédures de biosécurité établies.

Préparer les réactifs d'essai, les consommables et les autres matériaux nécessaires aux opérations quotidiennes.

Effectuer l'entretien courant, l'étalonnage et le dépannage de base de l'équipement de laboratoire, notamment les laveurs de plaques, les manipulateurs de liquides automatisés, les cytomètres en flux et les centrifugeuses.

Enregistrer et gérer les renseignements de laboratoire à l'aide de notre système de gestion de l'information de laboratoire (LIMS).

Soutenir la fabrication de réactifs d'essai critiques.

Effectuer les tâches opérationnelles courantes du laboratoire, notamment remplir les dossiers de lots d'essais, effectuer des comptages cycliques d'inventaire, répartir les réactifs en aliquotes, réapprovisionner les consommables et nettoyer la verrerie et l'équipement de laboratoire.

Ce que vous apportez

Baccalauréat en sciences de la vie, chimie, biotechnologie ou domaine connexe.

Minimum de 3 ans d'expérience de travail dans un laboratoire certifié BPL (GLP).

Minimum d'un an d'expérience de travail dans un laboratoire de niveau BSL-2.

Minimum de 6 mois d'expérience pratique avec les cytomètres en flux.

L'expérience avec les automates de manipulation de liquides est considérée comme un atout.

Excellentes compétences en gestion du temps, incluant la capacité à mener plusieurs tâches de front dans un environnement dynamique.

Rigueur exemplaire, sens de l'organisation et grande attention aux détails.

Solides compétences en communication orale et écrite.

Capacité à travailler de façon autonome ainsi qu'en équipe.
