Job Title: Program Coordinator, Student Organizations

Job Summary

The program coordinator, student organizations, supports the development, engagement, and success of Lindenwood University’s student organizations and their student leaders. The position works collaboratively with campus partners to strengthen student involvement and leadership opportunities while ensuring student organizations operate in alignment with University policies.

Essential Job Functions and Performance Indicators

The intent of this job description is to provide a representation of the types of duties and level of responsibility that will be required of positions given this title. Job Responsibilities and Execution

  • Supports the day-to-day operations and engagement of student organizations, serving as primary contact for routine questions, organizational needs, and University processes
  • Maintains accurate student organization records, including officer rosters, constitutions, bylaws, and required documentation within the University’s student engagement platform
  • Coordinates the registration, re-registration, and ongoing administrative processes for registered student organizations
  • Advises student organization leaders on organizational operations, leadership development, event planning, University policies and procedures, and available campus resources
  • Serves as an advisor to student organization without a designated faculty/staff advisor to provide interim support
  • Serves as an event consultant for student organizations, coaching student leaders through event planning, logistics, risk management, and University processes
  • Coordinates and supports student engagement initiatives including involvement fairs and other programs that promote student organization visibility and participation
  • Coordinates and supports the implementation and assessment of the Lion Leadership Experience designed to strengthen leadership and organizational effectiveness
  • Evaluates student organization and engagement initiatives and recommends improvements based on student needs, assessment data, emerging trends, and best practices
  • Promotes adherence to University policies and procedures and local, state, and federal regulation

Service Excellence

  • Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
  • Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the University’s values
  • Supports Lindenwood students by providing programming that allows for student development outside of the classroom
  • Demonstrates commitment to the holistic development of diverse student populations

Communication, Teamwork, and Collaboration

  • Participates in collaborative planning for campus-wide events, such as New Student Orientation, Family Day, and Homecoming
  • Collaborates with students, faculty, staff, and external vendors to complete tasks
  • Assists other areas of Student Involvement with event coordination and execution
  • Assists with development and execution of department-wide plans, goals, and assessments undefined

Job may require other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, such as education, student affairs, human resource management, or business
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a leadership role, preferably in student activities, programming, or related area
  • Master’s degree preferred

  • Basic computer skills including working knowledge of student organization management systems

  • Knowledge of and experience applying research and best practices related to student leadership initiatives
