PROGRAM MANAGER

Summary

About the Position: This position is responsible for monitoring and providing highly complex advise and oversight to TACOMs Depots and Arsenals in the development and implementation of funding requirements established by mission, public laws, executive orders, and higher headquarters' directives relating to military construction, sustainment, repair, and modernization programs.

Duties

• •Serves as an Organic Industrial Base (OIB) Modernization Program Officer within the office of the Tank Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) Deputy Chief of Staff (DCoS) G4.
• •Manages all activities engaged in the acquisition of the modernization projects to include coordination with the associated Government agencies and contractors for the implementation of the project, and to plan, program, and budget.
• •Coordinates with Government Organizations to include Financial Management, Logistics and Engineering, Army Acquisition Center (ACC), Program Executive offices and higher Headquarters to support the execution of AMCs 15-Year Modernization Plan.
• •Serves as the integrator of the level of efforts to include Human Capital, Energy and Environmental, Cyber/lT integration.
• •Conducts and/or directs highly complex reviews and initiates briefing documents which are provided to higher headquarters and other commands with recommendations on the best courses of action.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Recommending best course of actions on high level modernization plans; AND (2) Monitoring progress of plans to meet goals; AND (3) Utilizing financial data to assess modernization resource needs; AND (4) Coordinating modernization activities with higher headquarters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
