Program Manager (Test & Certification) eVTOL

The Program Manager (Certification & Testing) supports the Program Manager (Aircraft Program) and works shoulder-to-shoulder with the Test Director and other Functional Directors to ensure successful project management of all testing activities. He/she proactively identifies cross-organizational issues, proposes and executes solutions to achieve our product safety, quality, schedule, cost, and human resources goals. This role comes with specific authority and responsibility to drive change from within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Company-wide Subject Matter Expert in Project Management:

Develop company-/program-level integrated plan and set clear goals and schedules.

Manage projects from a holistic perspective, balancing safety, quality, cost, and delivery.

Select, implement, and manage the best project management tools for tracking progress and managing resources.

Lead Project Management for Certification & Testing Activities:

Lead project managers of engineering functions (vehicle, structure, avionics, and propulsion) to provide regular, clear reports to stakeholders and the management team on project status, (progress, critical paths, risks and issues, etc.) of all certification & testing activities (laboratory, aircraft ground and flight tests).

Integrate information from all groups to visualize and optimize overall program status and mitigate issues to keep things on track.

Own the authority and responsibility to prioritize tasks and issues according to company and program needs.

Identify unassigned issues between groups and ensure all tasks have an owner.

Drive Company-wide Process Improvement:

Develop standard processes and templates to promote and implement project management best practices.

Manage governance meetings to ensure discussions are productive and that all decisions and action items are clearly documented.

Lead and coach Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Lead project managers to ensure cross-functional cooperation and alignment.

Act as a central communication hub, supporting group managers and facilitating consensus building.

Ensure effective cross-group collaboration, coordinate and support issue resolution, and keep everyone aligned and moving toward our collective goals.

Requirements:

Engineering degree (aerospace, mechanical, electrical, electronics, and/or systems).

Strong knowledge and experience in aircraft certification (e.g. FAR Part 23/25/27/29) and compliance test processes (laboratory, aircraft ground and flight tests).

Leadership experience in engineering or/and program management functions in an aerospace (OEM) company.

Working Hours

Flextime or Discretionary labor system

Discretionary Labor System: Specialized Class Deemed working hours per day: 10 hours

Basic working hours: Start 9:00 End 18:00（Including 1hour break time）

115 days off per year（Saturday / Sundays / Newyear holidays（12/29～1/3） / Company designated holidays）

Salary

Estimated Annual Salary: JPY 10,000,000 - JPY 16,000,000

(To be determined based on skills, experience, and specialized aerospace integration background), there some room to negotiate compensation)
