Hiring: Software Quality Engineer – Automation

About the Role

We are looking for a Software Quality Engineer with a strong foundation in QA and hands-on exposure to automation testing. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with Playwright, API testing, scripting, and modern application environments, with a strong mindset toward quality,ownership, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• •Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for web and API applications.
• •Develop and maintain reliable and scalable test automation scripts/frameworks.
• •Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• •Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• •Identify, report, track, and validate defects throughout the defect lifecycle.
• •Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and Business teams throughout the SDLC.
• •Integrate and maintain automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
• •Investigate test failures, identify root causes, and proactively improve test coverage and quality.
• •Contribute to QA best practices and automation maturity.

Required Skills

• •2 - 4 years of experience in Software Testing / QA.
• •Strong understanding of QA fundamentals, SDLC, STLC, test case design, and defect lifecycle.
• •Hands-on or basic experience with Playwright automation.
• •Experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
• •API testing experience with Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.
• •Basic scripting/programming knowledge in JavaScript, Java, or Python.
• •Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• •Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, OpenStack, or similar.
• •Good understanding of Git and Agile methodologies.

Good to Have

• •Exposure to AI/ML concepts or AI-based testing.
• •Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• •Basic knowledge of performance testing using tools such as JMeter or k6.
• •Basic understanding of security testing.
• •BDD experience with Cucumber/Gherkin.
• •Basic SQL/database testing knowledge.
• •Experience working in the ERP domain, with Frappe exposure being an advantage.
