Job Description

Join our Engineering & Quality organization in Nyíregyháza and help build the foundation for quality decisions across the LEGO Group. In this role, you will work with advanced measurement technologies, support element qualification activities, and collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure robust, reliable, and repeatable measurement results. Your work will directly support product qualification, quality evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives that help maintain the high standards of LEGO products worldwide.
The position is based in Nyíregyháza, Hungary.
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver robust, repeatable, and reliable measurement results that support qualification activities across the LEGO Group.
- Perform dimensional, functional, and physical measurements using both manual and advanced automated measurement technologies.
Develop, maintain, and improve measurement methods, programs, fixtures, and technical documentation.
Support development activities through ad-hoc and specialized measurements in collaboration with key stakeholders across Engineering & Quality.
Analyze measurement data and provide technical evaluations that support quality and qualification decisions.
Collaborate with Mould Qualification, Processing, Production, and Quality teams to investigate and resolve quality-related challenges.
Drive continuous improvements in measurement capability, methodologies, standards, and technologies.
Lead or support specialized activities such as MSA, measurement strategy development, and implementation of new measurement solutions.
Participate in cross-functional projects and business improvement initiatives.
Share knowledge and contribute to capability building within the global metrology and qualification community.
Play Your Part in Our Team Succeeding
The Element Qualification team plays a critical role in ensuring that LEGO elements meet the quality standards required to maintain the integrity of the LEGO Building System.
As a Qualification Engineer, you will combine hands-on measurement activities with technical problem solving and continuous improvement. Working with advanced metrology equipment and measurement systems, you will help generate the reliable data that forms the basis for product qualification and quality evaluations across the LEGO Group.
You will work with a wide range of measurement technologies, from manual equipment to advanced automated systems such as CMM, One Touch, microscopy, and CT technologies. In addition to executing measurements, you will contribute to developing measurement methods, improving measurement capability, and supporting the implementation of new technologies and standards.
You will also have the opportunity to take ownership of specialized topics such as MSA, measurement strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with colleagues across Quality, Mould Qualification, Processing, and Production, you will support qualification decisions, address technical challenges, and contribute to strengthening global standards and ways of working.
Your expertise will directly support important quality decisions by providing accurate and reliable measurement data. You will also contribute to detailed evaluations of production lots by assessing measurement results, functional performance, and visual appearance to help determine whether products meet quality standards and are ready to progress through the qualification process.
Do You Have What It Takes?
Must-Have Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of experience within metrology, measurement engineering, quality engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience using measurement equipment such as CMMs, microscopes, optical measurement systems, gauges, pins, CT scanners, or similar technologies.
Strong understanding of measurement principles, uncertainty analysis, and data evaluation.
Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
Ability to analyze technical data and interpret measurement results.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Good English communication skills.
Strong collaboration skills.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Experience programming measurement equipment or automated measurement systems.
Knowledge of MSA, GR&R, Six Sigma, or other statistical quality tools.
Experience working with SAP.
Experience supporting process improvement and technology implementation initiatives.
