Principal Accountabilities

Serve as a quality li a i so n wit h Corporate Qua lit y a nd ensure cons i stent pra c ti ce s and deliverables meet quali ty s tandard s .

Implement co rp ora te- s pon so r ed best pract ic es for quality assu r ance processes; de ve lop a nd utili ze b enc hm ark- ba s ed metric s and deve lo p & maintain r epo rtin g o n the se me asu re s to ens ur e co ntinuou s improvement and provide needed in fo rmation to internal and exte rn a l stake h o ld ers.

Prepare , m ai nt ain, e n force , a nd u pda t e the QC p l a n s to dri ve performa n ce u s in g I SO 900 1 :2000 an d 1 4 001 s t a ndard s across the programs.

Provide oversight of ES&H Programs and integrate them into the QMS.

Develop, maintain, and analyze program(s) metrics.

Direct Six Sigma training and implementation.

Prepare and submit functional area deliverables on schedule in accordance with requirements.

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2000 standards.

Empower workforce with stop work authority for quality breaches.

Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and provide guidance on related disciplines.

Seek, share and assist in institutionalizing best practices.

Develops and implements program-specific process improvement initiatives.

Establishes and tracks progress toward meeting the goals and objectives of process improvement initiatives.

Ensures operational personnel comply with established and applicable DI policies and procedures.

Cond u cts a udit s, in s p ect i ons to ens ur e co mpli ance w ith D I po li c i es a nd procedures a nd im p l e ments corrective actio n s as r equired .

May serve as liaison between programs, or various governmental agencies inside or outside the United States

Develops, collects and reports performance metrics as needed.

Participates in the identification and implementation of all continuous process improvement activities.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills

Extensive knowledge of logistic systems, planning, quality control and supervisory policies, principles, procedures and techniques.

Working knowledge of analytical methodology, statistical process control and continual process improvement.

Familiarity with the development and operation of management reporting systems.

Ability to develop and present senior staff-level briefings and management reports.

Demonstrated experience with process improvement approaches and change management.

Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical skills.

Significant knowledge of the ISO 9000 series system.

Must be able to obtain and maintain any company or customer required licensing, certification(s), qualification(s) and required security clearance.

Experience and Education

Bachelor's degree in quality, business management, or engineering preferred.

Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in military planning and operations.

ASQ Certified mana ge r of qual it y an d organ i z at i ona l excellence d es ir ed . ISO 9000 Lead A udi to r qualification preferred ; knowledge of safety standards and ge n era l exper i e nc e in dea l ing w ith environmenta l i ss u es.

Certified Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
