Scope of Position

This individual, as part of the Quality and Operations Team, will be responsible for completing incoming inspection and in-process inspection of parts/components for the Quality Assurance Department ensuring that products and materials meet company standards. Also providing technical assistance to support daily operations, projects, measurement methods and performance testing, and execution of the Quality Business System.

This position does not have direct reports.

This position reports to Manager, Quality. This role is onsite and is based Export, PA.

Shift is either 6:30 am- 3pm or 8:30am-5pm.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

• •Coordinate and perform incoming inspections and in-process monitoring activities for parts/components.
• •Update and maintain all required incoming documentation and inspection logs.
• •Measuring: Comparing objects to their intended physical specifications.
• •Make decisions using detailed acceptance criteria and product specifications regarding quality of the parts/components.
• •Complete gage calibrations and provide detailed calibration documents/reports.
• •Assist with continuous improvement functions.
• •Develop and improve inspection methods.
• •Develop and improve gage calibration system.
• •Develop and upgrade departmental procedures (Quality Business System).
• •Participate in the Quick Kaizen program to meet Continuous Improvement goals.
• •Provide support for projects that will support manufacturing, engineering and quality efforts.
• •Perform inspections and testing for special projects.
• •Perform additional inspections, testing, and detailed data collection for PPAP’s.
• •Provide detailed documentation of all worked performed.
• •Lead and participate in required testing to support manufacturing and new product development.
• •Provide training and coaching on inspection and calibration methods.
• •Coordinate and perform evaluations on returned products (Returned Material Authorization).
• •Update and make entries into the RMA database.
• •Coordinate RMA activities with Receiving, Customer Service, and Accounting.
• •Participate and provide input to the Material Review Board.

Communication: Collaborating with Production, Materials, Customer

Service teams to communicate issues and requirements and

inspection results. Assume responsibility for other projects and

duties as assigned by Company management.

Required Qualifications

• •High School Diploma
• •1+ years of experience performing quality inspections/Manufacturing
• •Understanding inspection techniques and ability to use inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, CMM, microscope, height gages, etc.)
• •Ability to read and interpret part/assembly drawings
• •Computer proficiency on Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer)
• •Excellent interpersonal skills and written communication skills are required
• •Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
• •Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• •A.S. Degree/Technical Discipline
• •3 to 5 years’ experience with Quality Assurance Inspection Methods/Manufacturing
• •ASQ Certifications (CMI, CQT)
• •Experience in basic Metrology and Calibration
• •Quality/Mechanical Lab experience

Working Conditions:

While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site at a manufacturing facility and will perform the majority of your duties in an office environment. You may, at times, be required to be present on the manufacturing floor and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work in the office at the Export, PA location (Monday – Friday). Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.

• •Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
