This role collaborates across departments to find solutions and ensure that manufactured products meet the specified quality standards set by the organization before being sent to customers. Daily work includes monitoring the quality aspects of the organization and the products that are ready to be shipped as well as at all points of the manufacturing process.

This involves analyzing measurements, conducting tests, and monitoring production. Compiling data by sorting out the items that fail to meet quality standards and provide feedback across different teams to reduce the chances of failure.

Marmon Aerospace & Defense proudly supports the defense industry for Land, Sea, Air and Space applications by offering a full range of connectivity products and services, including custom wire and cable, coil cords, cable assemblies, tools, testing and training and installation services. We are the one-stop-shop for harsh environment connectivity solutions.

Our manufacturing center in Manchester, NH houses a dedicated team providing a complete product offering of high performance wire and cable using both high and low temperature materials and custom designs to meet the most exacting requirements. As an experienced manufacturer we assure that all of our products are engineered and manufactured with the highest level of expertise.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inspect raw materials, in process product, and finished wire and cable for compliance.

Conduct visual inspections for physical defects, labeling issues, and workmanship problems.

Verify dimensional characteristics such as conductor size, insulation thickness, cable OD, and length.

Maintain Calibration system in QT9 (quality software).

Perform statistical capability studies to determine CP and CPK

Perform basic electrical tests (continuity, resistance, IR, and HV) per training and procedures.

Confirm product identification, markings, packaging, and quantities meet customer and spec requirements.

Use appropriate inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, electrical test equipment).

Compare inspection results against drawings, specifications, work instructions, and QMS requirements.

Record inspection results accurately in reports, travelers, and electronic systems.

Segregate, label, and document nonconforming product.

Communicate defects and recurring issues to production and quality teams.

Support root cause investigations for quality issues.

Participate in corrective and preventive action activities.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area.

Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures.

Perform additional duties as required.

Review operator travelers and production documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.

Coach operators on proper documentation practices and correct traveler entries when needed.

Audit active production runs, verify operator measurements, and take independent dimensional checks.

Ensure operators follow work instructions and QMS documentation requirements during production.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of product specifications and production standards.

In-depth knowledge of industry regulations.

Ability to work across departments and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.

Excellent problem-solving techniques.

Minimum of basic to moderate math skills.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers and other department personnel.

Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires some physical demand. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long durations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Wear safety attire or protective gear on a daily basis.

Work indoors. These sites may not be temperature-controlled.
