Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Manager Intern to support our Quality Management System (QMS) and daily quality operations within a manufacturing environment.
Pay: $18.00/hr - $21.00/hr
Your Day-to-Day
- Assist in maintaining documentation for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Review and update procedures, forms, records, and work instructions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support document control activities, including revisions, approvals, distribution, and record retention.
- Assist with internal audits and preparation for external certification audits.
- Help track and monitor management system objectives, key performance indicators, and action items.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of management system improvements.
Quality Assurance and Control
- Assist with monitoring manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
- Support incoming material inspections and verification activities.
- Participate in product inspections, testing, and quality data collection.
- Assist in identifying and documenting quality concerns and non-conforming products.
- Help ensure inspection records and quality documentation are completed accurately and maintained properly.
Corrective Actions and Continuous Improvement
- Assist in investigating non-conformances and quality issues.
- Support corrective and preventive action activities by collecting data and monitoring action plans.
- Analyze trends and quality metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on quality, environmental, safety, and operational performance.
- Assist in developing and improving standard work instructions and procedures.
Administrative and Reporting Support
- Maintain quality records and databases.
- Assist with preparing reports, presentations, and audit documentation.
- Support data entry and reporting activities within company systems.
- Coordinate with Quality, Production, Engineering, and other departments as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We Would Love About You
- High School Diploma or GED and some college coursework.
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program pursuing a degree in:
- Quality Management
- Engineering
- Manufacturing
- Environmental Health & Safety
- Operations Management or a related field
- Interest in quality systems, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Previous manufacturing or quality experience is beneficial but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn quality management system requirements and manufacturing processes.
