Job Summary
The Quality Safety Accreditation Specialist assists Monument Health Home+ leadership with accreditation/certification compliance, patient /customer safety oversight, QAPI, emergency preparedness and employee safety across all business lines. The position will work closely with the Quality Department at Rapid City Hospital.

Job Description
Essential Functions :
- Functions as a resource to leadership, medical staff, and caregivers regarding accreditation /certification compliance, patient /customer safety oversight, QAPI, emergency preparedness and employee safety.
- Conducts mock surveys and patient /customer safety rounds in collaboration with leadership.
- Assists with the identification and development of education regarding accreditation /certification compliance, patient /customer safety oversight, QAPI, emergency preparedness and employee safety.
- In collaboration with leadership and when required, assists with completion of plans of correction for the Department of Health (DoH), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and The Joint Commission (TJC).
- Functions as a resource in the development, implementation and evaluation of policies, practices and standards of care.
- Alerts Home+ leadership to change in regulations affecting Home+ businesses.
- Gathers data, analyzes data, and prepares reports related to job functions.
- All other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements
Required :
Education - Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or combination of related education and/or experience may be considered to satisfy this requirement
Preferred :
- Certification - Registered Nurse, Respiratory Therapist, Physical Therapist with appropriate state licensure
- Experience - 1+ years of Audit/Compliance Experience; 1+ years of Quality Assurance/Improvement Experience; 3+ years of Clinical Experience
