Join Our Team as a Referrals Service Coordinator ! Please note this is a 18-month contract.
The Role:
Medcan is currently recruiting for a Referrals Service Coordinator for the Client Care Centre team in a full-time 18-month contract position. The ideal candidate possesses excellent written and verbal communication and has an appreciation for attention to detail. Exceptional administrative back-office support to physicians and Client Care Centre team colleagues. The role is well suited to candidates who have demonstrated the ability to thrive in a changing environment and have experience working with multi-disciplinary teams. This role allows for the possibility of work on weekends if the need should arise.
What You'll Do:
- Pulling, ordering and managing charts
- Managing daily incoming faxes
- Scan, categorize and upload transferred records from other facilities
- Sort and distribute incoming mail
- Manage and task all miscellaneous requests from external facilities through incoming faxes to appropriate team members
- Manage and task all appointment notifications to appropriate team
- Attend and task release of record requests
- Additional administrative duties as required
What You'll Need:
- Minimum 1 years Medical Office experience
- Health Records Diploma and/or Medical Office Administration diploma preferred
- Excellent written, verbal and electronic communication skills
- Proficient in MS word, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- The position will be hybrid of onsite and remote work requirement
This is a full time contract position that is from Monday to Friday weekly 8:30am-5:00pm with potential occasional Saturdays.
Our downtown Toronto clinic is conveniently located at 150 York St., which is nearby St. Andrew station or a 10-minute walk from Union Station!
Position Pay Range
$36,374.00 - $50,014.25 CAD annually
Pay will be determined based on an analysis of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications within the role's compensation grade. Medcan's compensation ranges are determined by a combination of required qualifications and skills, market value, and internal equity. The above range pertains solely to the base compensation and is not inclusive of additional compensation details such as perks, benefits, and potential bonuses or incentives.
