As a member of our Facilities team, you’ll play a vital role in creating a safe, comfortable environment where patients, families, and caregivers can feel at ease. You’ll gain hands-on experience with a diverse range of projects and HVAC systems across our facilities, train on the latest technology, and receive ongoing support and mentorship from experienced caregivers and leadership.

A caregiver in this position works 2 nd shift, 2:30pm—11:00pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Regularly inspect, diagnose, repair and perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC systems.

Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration/air conditioning systems and other equipment, such as refrigerators, freezers, walk-in coolers, medical and process chillers, cooling equipment, cryogenic freezers and rooftop heating/cooling units.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic controls, solid state microprocessors and system alarms.

Repair refrigerant leaks and evacuate and adjust refrigerant charges.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

High school diploma or GED

State of Ohio EPA approved certificate for either Type I and Type II or Universal Refrigerant Systems Service

Three years of experience as a commercial/ residential air conditioning refrigeration technician. Military experience as a Machinists Mate, Utilities man , Utilities Equipment Repairer or a similar role will be considered

Formal vocational classroom study in refrigeration, air conditioning and/or air handling may substitute up to 1 year of experience

Can read electric schematic diagrams

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Completion of a formal HVAC/Refrigeration training program

Work experience in a hospital setting

• •Ability to install, repair and maintain systems, equipment, fixtures and/or structures
• •Ability to distinguish color
• •Ability to climb ladders
