Position Description:
- The Inventory Lead assists Management with day-to-day operations, performs daily inventory accuracies, and
- ensures that teams members adhere to the company/mixing center policies and procedures. This role supports
- Management in achieving optimal productivity by delegating tasks to assigned team members while maintaining
- levels of quality, accuracy of inventory, and safety of associates. This role also provides feedback to Management
- as to team members' job performance

- Key Responsibilities
- Act as the liaison between team members and Management to facilitate effective communication and timely resolution of team issues.
Assist with administering the safety program set forth by American Tire Distributors to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Collaborate with Supervisor/Manager on a daily basis to discuss goal attainment, inventory levels, and to ensure timelines are being met.
Compile process, accuracy, and production reports associated with daily goals; communicate findings to the inventory supervisor/manager.
Ensure all team members have the necessary resources to complete assigned tasks and are operating at optimum levels throughout the shift in support of leadership team objectives.
Provide recommendations on process improvement and may assist in implementation.
Research inventory discrepancies when a product shortage is confirmed; locates missing product and replenishes the product shortage accordingly.
Review daily cycle counts to ensure quantities of products (tires, wheels, accessories, etc.) are accurately reflected on the system quantity inventory software.
Train and cross-train new and existing team members.
Utilize inventory system daily to review and determine which storage locations need to have the physical products counted to ensure accurate inventory.
Work closely with Management to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the inventory to achieve an absolute inventory variance in compliance with ATD standards.

Work Scheduling - The ability and skill to ensure the optimum scheduling of work and material resources to meet planned performance targets including proficient use of aligned software / systems
- Qualifications
- High School or GED degree Bachelors. 4-6 years of related experience preferred

- Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear, taste and/or smell; the employee must occasionally lift products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds. Handling of tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Travel required: 5% of the time
