Job description: Infusion Nurse

Infusion Department

• •Responsible for administering Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Immunoglobulin and Iron.
• •Symptom management and patient education.
• •Management of Central Line Catheters such as port-a-caths.
• •Provide care according to the individualized needs of the patient using the nursing process and in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.

Education and Training Requirements

• •Associates degree required
• •National Nursing License and BLS certification required
• •0 - 1 year experience. 2 - 4 years preferred
• •Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• •Ability to use problem solving, critical thinking, and priority setting skills
• •Oncology experience a plus
• •Excellent peripheral IV skills preferable
• •ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certificate Course required after one year
• •OCN certification required within two years

Job Type: Part-Time

Schedule:

• •Day shift
• •Monday to Friday
• •No nights
