Description:

At Saint Mary's Hospital , our Interventional Radiology Registered Nurses provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. Working alongside radiologists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams, RNs play a critical role in patient assessment, procedural support, conscious sedation administration, monitoring, recovery, and patient education throughout the continuum of care.

What You Will Do

• •Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures.
• •Administer medications and conscious sedation in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
• •Provide continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring during procedures.
• •Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, technologists, and healthcare team members to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• •Deliver pre-procedure education and post-procedure instructions to patients and families.

Minimum Qualifications

Required

• •Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• •Current Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• •Current BLS/CPR certification.

Preferred

• •Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
• •Previous Interventional Radiology experience.
• •Three or more years of recent ICU, Critical Care, Emergency Department, or Cath Lab experience.
• •Experience with conscious sedation and image-guided interventional procedures.
• •Current ACLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).

• •Participation in on-call is required, based on unit needs
• •Hourly position, included in RN Step Program pay range: $36.15 to $59.95
