Job Title
Reliability Maintenance Supervisor
Position Overview
Shaw Industries is searching for a Reliability Maintenance Supervisor to oversee a team of skilled facility reliability technicians for Shaw plant 22 located in Thomson, GA.
Responsibilities:
- Provides supervision and oversees daily maintenance operations and activities within designated departments; supervises and evaluates the work of maintenance employees and outside contractors.
- Effectively interface procedures, policies and systems to provide a successful departmental environment. This includes interaction with support areas, effective communication with teammates, and interaction with Leadership. Working with and assisting Hourly Teammates, Human Resources, and Plant Engineer.
- Administrative Responsibilities (Policies, Kronos, PeopleSoft, Attendance, Corrective Discipline, Correspondence, Production Entries, Inventory, etc.), by working with Hourly Teammates, Payroll, Human Resources and IT.
- Utilizes audit processes for continuous improvement efforts by coordinating with Lean Leadership, Department Managers, and Production Managers.
- - Prepares shift for job assignments, production scheduling, projects and standard work, by working with Hourly Teammates, Department Supervisors, and Planners.
- - Promoting Quality/Environmental awareness.
- - Supporting and promoting continuous improvement through the Quality/Environmental Improvement Team.
- -Supporting and promoting SMS policies and initiatives.
- - Assigning staff based on workloads and schedules; assists in overseeing the repairs to equipment, machinery, and facility; develops, interprets and implements policies and procedures; ensures that staff is trained in maintenance activities and are following standard operating procedures.
- - Monitors and participates in operations for assigned areas including inspecting projects, developing and implementing modifications and improvements, recommending specifications and scheduling for contracts, inspecting - contractor’s work to ensure safe work practices and standard operating procedures are followed.
- - Ensures that all plant-required PPE is being used and is kept in good repair at all times.
- - Coordinates safety training for maintenance personnel as needed. This includes lunch and learns at the plant.
- - Insures that proper safety practices are being followed by working with the supervisor and manager to drive continuous improvement in the areas of safety quality and productivity.
- - Use PeopleSoft procurement system to order parts and supplies related to job.
- - Learn and use EZ Entry/TPM system to set up and receive work instructions.
- - Directs the work order system as follows: Schedule and organize work orders with the direction of the Department Manager.
- - Assign work orders to specific maintenance employees.
- - Follow-up on assigned work orders to ensure that they are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
- - Inspects work for completeness
- - Demonstrates and assists with continuous efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
- - Adhere to normal work schedule and be able to work weekends and holidays as required.
- - Attend meetings as required.
- - Report to management any quality and safety problems and potential production problems that are encountered while performing the job
- - Perform all job duties in a safe manner without bodily injury to self or others
- - Perform all related job duties and other Responsibilities assigned by Department Manager
- - Work with the Planners in SP and SI to get jobs planned and kitted accordingly.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED and previous Lead or Supervisor
- Experience in Maintenance in the most recent 5 years required.
- Preferred: 1+ years previous Maintenance supervisory experience preferred. Experience working with Extrusion process preferred.

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
